That is one of the quotes from the famous photographer, Steve McCurry. A famous photographer from the United States who has devoted his life to the world of photography, who has had a career in one of the famous publications, National Geographic and Time.
Steve McCurry was born in 1950 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and studied at Penn State University. While on campus, he specifically studied Cinematography and Filmmaking.
After graduating from university, McCurry made his first trip as a photographer from the many trips he would make to India. While in India, McCurry explored India with his camera.
When McCurry met a group of refugees from Afghanistan, during the Soviet Union’s invasion of Afghanistan, McCurry took photography of one of the Afghan refugee girls who would one day become McCurry’s most recognized work in the world.
McCurry is known for his evocative color photography and his ability to capture the essence of the human experience.
